One of the biggest blessings in my life!

Four years ago as I laid in the hospital bed. I looked into a tiny bassinet laying next to me. A child laid there full of promise and I just laid and prayed I did not screw him up too badly. Four years has passed now and I am astonished by my child. He is everything I imagined him to be and I am very proud he is mine.

Today we tried to plan something for his birthday however daddy had to work so I made it his and my special day. I took him to the mall and let him play in the playground. Took him to his favorite restaurant CiCis Pizza Buffet. Then went to Walmart to let him pick his dinner. He decided on Chili Cheese Hot dogs.

On the way home from Work daddy stopped and got an banana split ice cream cake. We sang happy birthday and his eyes lit up. My baby is a big boy now. I love him all I can. Tomorrow will be our day for celebrating as a family. Here are some pictures of the official day.

Lil Ro,

Four years ago mommy prayed for a son that I could be proud of. Four years ago that prayer was answered by you. Everyday you awaken and look at me with your gorgeous brown eyes I cry a little inside that someday some other woman will sweep you off your feet. You are the perfect son to me and sometimes you are a little rambunctious but that is what makes you you. Please stay yourself and do not let the peer pressure turn you into someone you do not want to be. Mommy is always here for you my tiny son. Even when you turn 18 I will still see that tiny baby in the bassinet. I love you baby. Be strong, be wise and most of all Be you.

Love Always,

 Mommy

Just another fun day of adventures

Now that is still warm and we get some sun between moments of thunder clouds the kids and I are spending a lot more time outside again. We go play for at least 2 hours and our adventures including finding pretty plants for me to take pictures of.

Today consisted of soccer, basketball and freeze tag. Then we threw in a game of tag before the thunder clouds rolled in. I am so proud of how social my kids are and the fact that dear old mom is welcome at anytime. They are not embarassed that I am a helicopter mom. They are proud their mommy sits and watches and sometimes even joins in. I love the neighborhood we are in and I honestly wish we have lived here the whole time we found our beloved Colorado Springs.

This time 4 years ago I was in the hospital. It is insane to think of. I was dilating and screaming. 4 years ago I was learning love again for the third time. 4 years ago. Well that is another post for tomorrow. I have missed blogging and I am so glad I have found my passion again.

I love Springtime in the Rockies

You curl up under the blankets at night and open the windows smelling the crisp clean air. Then during the day you hear the birds chirping. Life is just beautiful. Yes somedays we have our freak snow storms but for the most part it is very calm.

Lil Ro right now is enjoying riding his trike. It is so much easier to have fun with him now that he is potty trained. He rides and rides and laughs and laughs. Sometimes he gets tired however and I help him carry his bike.

Roana is getting more friends. We play outside for at least an hour a day with them. I am somehow the unofficial block mom but I love watching my children interact and show their different play styles.

I am now thinking it is time to shed my winter coat. I stepped on a scale today and I am very disappointed with myself. I got down to 217. Now I am ashamed to admit my weight on here. I am going to be making some lifestyle changes here in the next month. I need to be healthy for my family.

Today was gorgeous for the most part. A thunderstorm rolled in and out quickly and left us with a beautiful rainbow. Life is good again. For now we can enjoy the beauty and relax. All is good in the world.

My favorite days of the week

My poor Ro is working his butt off for us so we can enjoy our weekends. This weekend was a pretty cold foggy one but thank goodness God took pity on us Sunday and gave us a little break. The sun came up and it actually got past 60 so we headed out to play at the park and run a few small errands.

We decided to take lil Man to Mcdonalds. He has been begging for it since 2 weeks ago. We do not believe in Happy Meals so I ordered off of the Dollar Menu. The kids played for almost an hour but then the play place got way to crowded. Ro and I gave each other the knowing look and took the kids out pouting.

Feeling sorry for our babies we decided to go to a schools playground. It was empty when we arrived so it was perfect. Our kids ran up the slides and up the rock wall. Under everything and was full of smiles. Then a group of unaccompanied children ranges 6-12 showed up. I cannot believe in this day and age so many people trust their children on their own. I told Ro I am not anyones free babysitter especially children I do not know. So we loaded up into our car and drove off.

We drove past our old apartments and I am so ashamed to admit I ever lived there. They are even more run down then before. There is no grass and trash all over and I was angry I allowed my children to live there for so long. Ro and I both agreed we made the best decision to move away from there. We have to give our children the best we can no matter what.

From there we decide to go to Rizuto's Ice Cream again. My Ro loves the strawberry and so does Roana. I decided to give Butterfinger a try and got lil Ro an scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough. From there we decided to come home. I was exhausted as I had fallen asleep at 2 the previous day. I fell asleep for a couple hours and woke up to watch some movies with my honey.

I love simple weekends. They are the days my children will always remember and reflect on. This week is going to be a short week as Roana has no school on Friday and Thursday is Lil Ros 4th birthday. Time is flying by and I honestly am just trying to savor each and every moment as mommy to my 2 babies.

Oh what a beautiful weekend! Oh what a happy day!

This weekend was a very nice weekend for a change. Ro decided NOT to work overtime in lieu of spending time with us. On Friday we went to a park and played soccer with our new soccer nets. My Lil Ro is such an athlete it is not even funny. He loves kicking the ball into the goal over and over and over. Unfortunately I am sad to say the goals did not last so I had to take them back to Target. After maybe 15 minutes of playing the frames cracked and I was not paying 30 for a broken goal set. It was fun while it lasted though.

Saturday started with a quick trip to the junk yard...or so we thought. Last month with our tax money we bought a 1992 VW Passat GL with moon roof. Ro went to get a muffler attachment however they had none. What they did have though was the moon roof track and frame so he inquired. Our moon roof had never worked since  a metal piece cracked in it. It was only 50 and from inquiring with a few mechanics it would cost us at least 300 for  a new one alone before installation. Big Ro was pretty sure he could fix it however it would take him at least 2 hours to pull the old one. He asked me what sounded like fun in the mean time for the kids and I. I started thinking about it and I remembered a goodwill located just down the street. I told him to drop me off and the kids and I would find something nice there. While there I scored lil Ro 5 Super Mario t-shirts, 2 pairs of children's place jeans, Roana got 3 shirts, big Ro got 2 shirts and 1 Barcelona soccer jersey and I got 3 shirts. Plus I found Lil Ro a brand new hot wheels loop with 10 cars included and Roana wanted 1 cadberry bunny animal. I spent a whopping $23! Ro pulled the moon roof and we came home and we assembled it. So for basically 75.00 we got our moon roof repaired!

Afterwards we went to the grocery store. On our way there the kids fell asleep. I was very happy to go in there for a change and enjoy my shopping. I actually got to plan my meals for a change.

On Sunday it was 72. Such a refreshment from the snow we have received the last two weeks. I made Menudo for breakfast and then I got everything packed up to go to Palmer Park and get to cook out on our new grill. We love charcoal grills and I scored one last year for 4.00! There are no pictures of the grill however. We cooked Chicken Sausage from Sunflower market and then burgers and hot dogs. The kids played and ate and ran and teased the dogs.

After everything was eaten and packed up we decided to take Rex to the water at Rick Gossage Sports complex. He really loves playing fetch with the sticks and his mighty tuff water retriever toy. We played for 45 minutes until the mosquitoes decided they wanted a late lunch.

From the sports complex we decided that we wanted Ice Cream. My friend Holly introduced me to an ice cream shop called Rizuto's. They sell these junior chocolate dipped cones for .75. I got one of those for me and a scoop of ice cream each for the kids. My total came up to 3.75 for us all. It is amazing and they are family owned and operated.

It was maybe a simple weekend but an incredible one. I love days like these and I know someday I will look back and miss them. Until them I will relish each and every one. Until my babies have babies of their own. Time passes so fast and I feel sometimes like I am missing it all.

My Poor Blog.

So far this year it has been a very hectic year. We got a new bed finally. I do not know if I mentioned this before but we cosleep with our youngest. Yes I know it is frowned upon but I think of it like this. I only have my children for 18 years all to myself. The first 5 years is exclusive to me. Soon he will beg to sleep on his own and then we will have our bed to ourself. We decided to get a King bed. I am so in love with it. I have never slept so good and I hope it is in our family for a long time.

March 17 was my birthday. Yes can you believe I did not post on it? I have neglected it so much. I am very sorry. I turned thirty that day. Where in the world does time go? I talked to my grandparents and I told them it was so true. Time flies after kids and I am scared I am not going to remember any of it. I do not want to scare Ro but my memory is getting so bad lately. I am sure it is from stress but you never know. I met 3 amazing ladies from an online board that I frequent. We had a blast on my birthday and I pray we become good friends.

Rogelio is doing awesome. He only has a little over a month left in school. He has a dinner tonight for a big honor. He is on the Presidents List and has a perfect attendance record. I am so very proud of him and I love him more every day.

Roana is my amazing child. Some days I do not take the time to tell her but she is incredible. She is sweet, caring and beautiful. She even made Honor Roll at school this session. I am teary eyed thinking about her.

Rogelito my baby is growing up so very fast. I have no clue where time has gone. He has turned into a young man who never ceases to amaze me.

I won tickets to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo over Spring Break. We ended up going there for Easter. I love that Zoo so much and I plan on buying a Season pass for us next pay check. I really want the Dinosaur Series Dvds. I am trying to find a good price on them. We will see. I hope I find them used. Those were the good days. Watching shows with the family.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my update. I will swear to update as often as possible. i did make this to reflect on my life and its blessings. I just need to make more time. Thank you for caring and I will be back soon.
