My Couple of Days as A single mom

So now that I told you guys about the hospital drama I finally can settle down and tell you about how it felt to be single. The hospital allows unlimited visiting hours with the sibling and parents of the admitted child but lil Ro-N was trying to rip out the oxygen and take the breathing treatments. Ro being the responsible man he is took the baby home and left me alone at the hospital. I was laying on the pulll out and tossing and turning. Roana asked me mom where is dad? I told her hon he is with your brother. She cried and cried and asked for him. I let her talk to him on the phone but with her shortness of breath it was barely understandable. That night I missed I my husband. I missed feeling him in my arms and even his funny faces. He also got a dose of reality. He told me he was cleaning the apartment and Rogelito would not permit it more then a couple of minutes. We both had a little reality check. We love each other. Maybe not 100% of the time but we are compatible and very much in love. We complete each other and will grow old and grey together. So I guess its not so much single life but more a reality check. It's not that bad as long as you have true love and sometimes you have to hit those curveballs life throws you.

Her Life Flashed before my Eyes!

Saturday was supposed to be a great day. Daddy was supposed to work but then we were supposed to go up to Denver. God had other plans. On Friday Roana was wheezing a little but she tends to overreact. We came home from eating out which she barely did and I gave her a warm bath and sent her to bed. 3:00 am I woke up. I walked in to get water for my dry throat and opened the door to check her. She was a little blue and her chest was very rapidly raising and falling. My heart stopped. I called Big Ro three times. He came to the door and looked at her. What do you want to do he asked. I picked up the phone to call 911. He told me to get dressed and we could get to the hospital in 10 minutes most. We struggled to wake her up and I dragged her into the er. I was terrified as she could barely talk. She struggled for each breath. I waited in the er for 30 minutes but as soon as she was in triage they rushed us over to respiratory. Her oxygen level was at 80 and her heart rate was soaring. If they did not get her on oxygen vital organs could have shut down.

3 hours later after the oxygen was administered she was on 5 liters. They transferred us to children's hospital. We were admitted and she was doing better. She loved the nurses and room service. I thank god for those nurses and our pediatrician that Roana has seen since she was 6 months old. At 11 am today we were released. She cried because she wanted to order steak but mommy made her feel better by making her steak and rice for lunch. Right now she is on 1/2 liter of oxygen for 24 hours a day until Weds at least. Also we are doing a nebulizer every 4-6 hours. She is also on antibiotics for the next 3 days. I am sure she will recover but I do not want to deal with acute bronchitis any time soon. I complain about my baby but after almost losing her and watching her be semi conscious I am grateful to watch her grow. I will post another blog tomorrow about my experience as a single mom.

Last Sunday

We spent the day with my mother in law and sister in law. We had a blast. I am sad that we lost all that time together being stupid and arguing. We grilled burgers and unfortunately I was not feeling 100%. My stomach hurt and head ached so I slept for 2 hours. We will be returning there this sunday as my mil is her birthday. We are so blessed for family.

We have a home phone again. We are trying this company called MagicJack. It is a very nice company and so far we are very pleased. I can talk to my friends as much as possible now without worrying about minutes. So email me and I will send you my number. Woo hoo. Enjoy the pics.

It Breaks My heart

Today was game day and papa had to sit out. Instead we sat in the bleachers and screamed for his team to win. I laughed as we all chanted "dont touch home". LoL. My heart broke as Ro clung to the fence trying to join his team. He even imagined kicking the ball. He won't admit it but he loves the physical activity. I love the people he works with it seems like family. I think next week he will play. God willing no thunderstorms he will play. This week he bonded with the kids. Back to regular scheduled programming.

I was so excited to have a new family member but unfortunately my daughter is allergic to cats and well I have to keep my daughter so I gave the kitty to a new family. We will be adopting some fish here in the next couple of weeks though. Thought I would update.

A new baby?

No NO NO I am not pregnant. Ha Ha. Tonight it was raining outside and I ran to the car in lightning. I heard a mew mew and looked under our tire. Laying under my car was a 12 week old kitten. I picked her up and dried her off. I brought her upstairs and was going to take her to the humane society tomorrow. Well dh looked at me and said susan what is that? I told him it was a kitten. He then asked to see her. Well he looked at her and fell in love. We are posting a found listing in the paper but honestly I seen her roaming around with her mom earlier this week. She is so cute and I love having her cuddling on me. I am calling her Cortana as we are Huge halo fans. We will see how it goes. A new baby to love. Enjoy

Today was a good day

I took the kids to the mall to play inside and hit up the local K-Mart. I was walking past build-a-bear workshop with the kids and they begged to go in. I was very hesitant as well it tends to get expensive. When I walked in they greeted me and told me. Today any bear is $5.00 off. I looked and they had two different bears that was only 5.00 after discount. We stuffed and loved the bears. Then well Roana wanted an outfit for hers and I found a winter outfit on clearance for 5.00 so we managed to get in and out for 16.00! Not too bad I dont think.

KMart had great deals too. I got roana a barbie laptop for 3.00. I got a slurpee machine for 3.00 and a xbox game for 1.50. So all is well. I did not spend much and we all got out for a bit. I will take pics of the bears later and share them. I did not take pics as I had no intention of going there. LoL

Busy as can be

Today was Rogelios kickball game. He played very well and I got some nice pics of the kids and them playing. I loved getting out of the house again. Watching him laugh and run brought me so much joy. Once again not much words but here are lots of pics.

Tomato, Tomata its time we called the whole thing off!

Yesterday I talked to my sweet nephews. I saw them briefly on Friday and it broke my heart that they did not recognize me. My children are supposed to grow up with family not alone. Yes we have awesome friends here but it is time we reunite with our family. Ro and I talked. We are going to try to make things better. It will never be the same as before but we can be a family with them again. I look forward to weekends soon where we can all be one happy family. Only time will tell I guess. Wish us luck.

All good things must come to an end!

So today we took my mother in law back up to Denver. It broke my heart to see Roana ask why grandma could not stay with us. I hope she gets to come back this trip and if not well we have great memories of her. We went to the park and she feel in love with it. Then of course we had mole. Hopefully next time she remembers her dentures so we can indulge in Sushi together.

Ok For People who think 2 Year olds cannot hit

Is this normal? My son has always had a fascination with baseball and soccer. I disregard soccer because well I think all little boys have a thing for kicking balls (plus I dont catch hiim doing it as often as he used to). We went to the park last evening and played on the playground and baseball. I doubt that he is as good as he is sometimes so tell me what you think. I just wanted to share this briefly.

She is Here!

I am so excited that my mother in law is spending time with us and our children. I have time to post right now because she is napping in the room right now. We are so blessed that she is still around today. I don't know if I told you all but she was diagnosed with end stage renal disease in 2005. The doctors thought the prognosis was not good at all and she was on a dialysis machine 2 times a day at home. She was on the organ donor list and we were pratically saying goodbye. The day Ro-n was born she also got her kidney, we were blessed that some family was an organ donor. Thanks to them we can enjoy today. Our plans this weekend is to eat mole...she is teaching me the right way. Take the kids and mom to the park then over to our friends place so she can meet him. I am so blessed to have grandma in our lives right now. I just wish sometimes that my mom was still around.

Busy as a little Bee!

My mother in law is coming this evening for the weekend so for the last 2 days I have been cleaning nonstop. I cleaned the cabinets. The fridge, under the couch, inside the couch and every room. I have to do some laundry this afternoon such as sheets and clothes but I finally have time to breathe. I even wiped down the walls. Unfortunately my vacuum broke but I am using a broom until next thursday when Big Ro gets paid again. Oh the joys of being between. LoL I have not seen Mother in Law since March so I am very excited to see her again. She is a good friend of mine even though we speak two different languages. We just get each other. Oh well I am babbling. We are going to get her this evening when Big Ro gets off work. I cannot wait to have her home. We will take her to out best friends resturaunt and then come home and relax. I am so happy. Here are some pics of the kiddos playing. Enjoy. Excuse me please if I do not post this weekend.
