I have often wondered what characteristics are passed from parent to child. Could it really be just physical and health related issues passed from DNA? I am starting to think that there is more to the mysterious us. Why you ask? Well I am finding our children have some strange habits we do and they are not taught them. For example, Lil Ro is starting to bite his nails like his dad all the way down to the cuticles. I cannot stand this but I think this nervous habit was inherited by his father. Then there is the love of animals. My children go around the house and pretend they're animals. They stand in awe of any creature big and small. All these little things fascinate me.
My sister in law called me last night. She had left the phone in her bag and quickly called me back. Roana was so happy and I could hear the joy in her voice. Mommy mommy we got a new fish. I have 2 dogs, 2 kids, 1 husband and 1 betta so far now we are throwing in a gold fish I am pretty sure. LoL She named her peaches. So here in a couple of weeks I am going to be traveling from Utah to Colorado with a fish from California. My goodness any advice? Seems like we are moving everything from there here. But she was so happy I could not tell her no. I hope this fish lives and that she helps with it. If she is like me she will nuture it until no end. Time will tell.
Tonight we are planning an evening in. We have to go after work to pay a couple of bills but we are picking up a pizza and some sodas crawling on the sofa and popping in a couple of movies. We need a break from running around. Life is moving so fast I want to hit pause. I need to rewind and enjoy this time with my husband as a mom to one child for now.

I've wondering the same thing myself quite a few times! Our daughter Isabel has the EXACT mannerisms as her Tia Maribel. Its funny because they've only met once! =)
Have fun on your night in!!!
True that! Tiago's love for the ball is something beyond a normal boy thing, lol!

Hmm... I don't know about the DNA thing but all of my friends and family tell me that my 7 yr. old son is dramatic, like me.
Both of us light up while telling stories, our hands move all around, and when we start laughing .. well it seems to be harder for us than other people.
I ticked off a former boss by laughing too hard for too long once. Ooooops. (sorry)
About the fish?
My neighbor (once) had a huge aquarium and they had to put large rocks (cleaned) in a tall bucket with about 1/4 water in the bottom to move those fish. They had several buckets and the rocks helped to weight them down so they wouldn't turn over.
Maybe someone can hold the fish in one of those lil plastic type sand buckets? Sounds fun!
Good luck moving the fish and I know you'll be glad to have your baby home :)

P.S. That was scary the other day about the card that was slipped under the door ... I was freaking out! LOL I'm glad it was a false alarm.
elsuenoamericano: Its funny how strange these little munchkins can be. I've also seen him smile like my dh's dead uncle. Sometimes I think there is so much more to the story.
heather: Yes and the fact that Tiago is so great at it makes me think he definately inherited that from his daddy.
lisa: Some things are learned behaviors too I think. Sometimes when Lil Ro gets frusturated he bites his bottom lip like me and my mother. But some things cannot be explained. There has to be more to this then just learned behaviors. KWIM.
Roanitas pescado died again so I told my cunado please do not get another one. I do not know what they are doing wrong and I will just get her one here when the time is right.
